The promoter hasn't paid my deposit

What this means

Your deposit request has been sent but the promoter hasn't paid. This is one of the most common booking issues DJs face — and it's exactly what SoloFlo's deposit tracking is designed to help you manage.

What to do

Step 1 — Check the status in SoloFlo

Go to your booking in the Bookings section. Check whether the deposit request shows as Sent, Opened, or Overdue. If it shows as Opened but unpaid, the promoter has seen it and hasn't acted. If it shows as Not yet opened, it may not have reached them.

Step 2 — Send a reminder

Use the Send reminder button on the deposit section of your booking. SoloFlo will send a polite payment reminder automatically. You can see how many reminders have been sent and when the last one was sent.

Step 3 — Contact the promoter directly

If reminders aren't working, reach out directly — call or message them. Reference the SoloFlo booking and deposit request. Having everything documented in SoloFlo means you can refer them to the exact amount, due date and payment link.

Step 4 — Consider whether to proceed

If the deposit remains unpaid and the gig is approaching, you have a decision to make. An unpaid deposit is a serious red flag. Your SoloFlo contract sets out the agreed terms — if the promoter is in breach, you may choose not to proceed. We recommend seeking independent legal or professional advice if the amount is significant.

What SoloFlo can't do

SoloFlo facilitates the booking process but cannot force payment or intervene in disputes between you and a promoter. We are not a debt recovery service. The contract is between you and the promoter — SoloFlo is the tool that documented it.
